Delete your Ametrum account

You can delete your Ametrum account and all the data that goes with it at any time. You don't need the app installed to do it.

How to request deletion

Send an email to support@ametrum.com with the subject Delete my account.
Send it from the email address you signed up with, so we know the request is yours. If you no longer have that address, say so in the email and we'll help you prove the account is yours.
We delete the account and reply to confirm it's done.

We complete every request within 30 days, usually within a few days.

What is deleted

Everything, permanently. Your account isn't deactivated or frozen, it's erased:

your email address, password and settings;
all your financial records: accounts, transactions, categories, tags, notes, budgets, goals, debts, recurring payments, investments and the people you recorded;
photos attached to your records;
your bank notification rules;
usage statistics, if you agreed to share them.

Deletion can't be undone. If you want a copy of your data first, ask for one in the same email and we'll send it before deleting anything.

What is kept, and for how long

Data	Kept for
Nightly backups of our database	Up to 30 days, then overwritten. We don't restore deleted accounts from them.
Crash reports, which don't include your email address	Up to 90 days
Server logs (IP addresses and request times)	Up to 14 days
Our email exchange about the deletion	Up to 2 years, as proof that we carried out your request

Data on your phone

Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your phone, including saved bank notifications. On its own, uninstalling doesn't delete your account or the data on our servers.

Deleting some data only

To have particular data erased from our servers without closing your account, email us saying what you want removed, from your account's email address.
